  • Deepcool Ice Blade Pro Heatsink Review
  • I can't think of a single recently released heatsink that's made in North America. Not one, not that it really matters. And yet many PC enthusiasts fixate on heatsink makers that have established brand recognition in North American computer stores; names like Thermalright, Thermaltake, Coolermaster or Zalman ... and ignore everything else. The funny thing is, lesser known heatsink makers can often be the OEM manufacturers Tier One brand names turn to for production, so it really pays to consider the whole field. That brings us to a company called DeepCool which operates from Bejing, China.

  • Deepcool Ice Blade Pro
  • I decided that enough was enough and that im getting myself my first aftermarket cooler. I didn't have a big budget and the cooler I wanted wasn't available so I searched around and came across the Deepcool Ice Blade Pro. An advantage of this cooler is that it comes with an i7 bracket. Here are the technical specs for the cooler. You will see its a very heavy cooler, but thankfully it comes with support brackets to aid support.

  • DeepCool Ice Blade Pro CPU Cooler Review
  • The Deep Cool Ice Blade Pro isn’t necessarily the greatest CPU cooler on the market, but it’s surely a good looking one. This CPU cooler will give cases that extra “gamer” look some people look for. Its tool-free installation does provide not only a secure installation, but an easy one. I was unable to find this cooler anywhere for purchase. Overall it provides a sub-par cooling performance with a great looking cooler. Think Computers would like to award the Deep Cool Ice Blade Pro a 7 out of 10 score.

  • Deepcool Ice Blade Pro CPU Cooler Review
  • The Ice Blade Pro uses a very common and conservative design, which is simple, inexpensive to build, and efficient, bringing a very good cooling performance. The blue LEDs give the fan a very nice looks, and even under full load, it was not too loud. In short, the Deepcool Ice Blade Pro is a beautiful and quiet CPU cooler, with good cooling performance and flexibility.

  • Deep Cool Ice Blade Pro Review
  • Deep Cool's Ice Blade Pro provides very good cooling performance for its modest price tag. You will need to spend a bit more on a second fan to get the most out of it. Even then, it is a still an excellent buy for overclockers on a budget, compared to more expensive brand-name heatsinks.
